We use ATM daily in our life but we never thought about why ATM pin has only 4 digit passwords.In the olden days withdrawing the money from the banks is big task, it will take more than half day to withdraw money from our bank accounts and also we must wait in long queues also, before the ATM Machines came for the older and illiterate peoples its big challenge to draw money from the bank accounts but after the ATM Machines came it is very easy task to do all the peoples from older peoples to younger peoples(Kids).ATM Machines are become one of the part in our daily life but we ever think about why ATM Pin has only 4 digits here we can know the reason behind this.

The Inventor Of ATM Machine:

The Automated Teller Machine was invented by a Britisher John Adrian Shepherd-Barron

“What I fell victim to is that as a research and development engineer, it was part of my job to invent things. My invention in 1966 was 11 years too early. They were happy to take the invention and made a lot of money from royalties around the world,” Goodfellow said.


And the idea of inventing Automated Teller Machines came from Computer Loan Machines.




At this time we all Know the inventor of ATM (Automated Teller Machine). But who developed the ATM Pin stored cards?

  • ATMs have different names in different countries.  In Australia and Canada they’re called “bank machines, “or “money machines,” in New Zealand they’re called “Cash Points,” “Hole-in-the-walls,” in the United Kingdom, and “Bancomats,” in Europe.



Here’s The Reason why ATM has 4 digit passwords:

  •  John Adrian Shepherd-Barron proposed a 6 digit PIN.
  • But this idea has to be rejected because of Barron’s wife Caroline.
  • Caroline couldn’t remember more than 4-digits.
  • 6-digit was too long for her to recall.  
    So  John Adrian Shepherd-Barron was decided to set 4 digit password. Here once again proved every successful man there is a woman and also proved every Wife dominates husband even he is scientist.

     The reason may what is behind the 4 digit passwords, we are thanking them to set pin as a  4 digits only if it is like social networks password it is hard to remember.

  3. Bro, I had tried that one already. But problem is that it does not shows more than two posts in home page. Even I tried to show 100 posts in one page.
